Road to Success

rhosmile The Road to Success

It has been said that you may be successful in whatever path you choose as long as you are more than passionate about it and you do it better than any one else.  Rhonda, decided she needed to learn as much about each aspect of the wedding process as she could so that she would know how to hire the best person in each field.  She began making cakes when she was 10, the first for her sister Buffy's birthday!  She would decorate any thing that she could, cakes, cupcakes, cookies...the dog...

During high school, Rhonda stayed for the summer at Dana College, with her sister Buffy, working in the cafeteria and catering department.  She learned a number of great tips about food service, the prime one being that it is a whole lot of work, and anyone who does it well should earn crowns in heaven!  To put out something that is not only tasty but beautiful as well (because we eat first with our eyes), was quite a feat in and of itself.  However, doing this for 300+ people all at the same time was a marvel.  It was a great experience.

Once she began college, she immersed herself in the social sorority life to learn about planning functions from each of the aspects.  Learning how to weave themes and create decorations on a shoe string budget when necessary.  She helped create fantastic events that were not only fun, but beautiful. After she was married, as a senior, she took a job in a Bridal Salon to learn how to better fit both gowns and evening wear.  She learned how to match body type with the dress, and how foundation garments and alterations could make the dress into a well-fit silouettte. Additionally, have played the flute since she was ten, Rhonda was also honored to perform at a number of weddings and events.

Upon graduation, Rhonda became a high school teacher who apprenticed on the weekends with a church wedding coordinator.  Being ever cautious to be properly trained before entering a field where there are no second chances, she built up her repertoire, reputation, and repose.  When she finally felt ready to take the plunge, it was time to set up shop.
